Teaser- His first sight, and her patiently blooming.!

The evening unfolded around Ram and Siya slowly, tenderly, as though the world itself had decided not to interrupt.

Open fields stretched endlessly beyond the roadside tea stall, washed in pale moonlight and drifting mist. The cold breeze moved through the tall grass in soft waves, carrying with it the comforting scent of chai, wet earth, and the faint promise of rain somewhere far away.

Above them, the sky looked impossibly wide. A few scattered stars blinked quietly between moving clouds while an old radio inside the tea stall played a distant song so softly it almost sounded like a memory instead of music.

They sat beside each other on a worn wooden bench beneath the open sky, steaming cups of tea cradled carefully between their hands. And his car parked behind them, as in covering them from the world.

Neither of them seemed in a hurry to speak. And somehow, the silence between them never felt awkward. It felt lived in and comfortable.

Like two people who had unknowingly arrived at the exact kind of quiet they had been searching for in other people their entire lives.

Siya pulled her dupatta closer against the cold wind while staring ahead at the empty road disappearing into darkness. Ram noticed immediately. Without a word, he pushed his untouched extra cup of tea slightly toward her side because hers had almost gone cold. She looked down at it, then at him.

SIYA- You were not drinking that.?

Siya's question made Ram to smile instantly.

RAM- I was emotionally attached to it, but you looked colder.

A smile tugged helplessly at her lips.

SIYA- That was dangerously sweet.

She said taking the cup in her hold and Ram received another cup of tea from the tea stall person.

RAM- I believe in love at first sight.

He said in a go, taking a sip of tea like those two statements were somehow connected. She blinked once before laughing quietly under her breath.

SIYA- what.?

He smiled faintly into his cup, eyes lowered now in a way that almost looked shy.

The breeze swept gently between them again, cool enough to make the steam from their tea swirl upward like fading smoke. And after a while she asked quietly.

SIYA- you really believe people can fall in love instantly.?

Ram nodded his head in agreement.

RAM- haa bilkul.

Siya looks more confused and she questioned again.

SIYA- No hesitation.?

He shook his head negatively with a smile. She tilted her head slightly, studying him carefully beneath the dim yellow light hanging outside the tea stall.

SIYA- aap to aise nahi lagte, people who believes in things that quickly.

Ram giggles at her words and he sips the tea from his cup.

RAM- that is because most things deserve doubt but love does not.

The answer settled somewhere deep inside her chest. Not loudly. Not dramatically. Just enough to stay there. He leaned back slightly against the bench, eyes drifting toward the sky.

RAM- I think, sometimes you meet someone and your soul recognizes them before your life does.

She lowered her eyes into her tea cup, watching the steam rise slowly.

SIYA- That sounds beautiful and terrifying at the same time.

The wind tangled gently through her hair again, and he watched her tuck it behind her ear with slow fingers. Then she smiled faintly.

SIYA- aisa nahi hai that I do not believe in love, I believe it the most. But...

His eyes returned to her immediately.

RAM- But .?

She laughed softly at how quickly he caught it.

SIYA- But not the way you do.

He waited for her to speak and she noticed he always listened fully when something mattered. No interruptions. No performance. Just attention.

SIYA- I don't think love happens all at once, I think attraction does. Curiosity does. But love...

Siya's voice softened and he keep on looking at her.

SIYA- Love grows quietly.

He looked thoughtful now. She continued slowly, like she was unfolding something precious between them.

SIYA- I think love is built in ordinary moments. In consistency. In learning someone's silences. In staying when things become difficult instead of leaving when they stop being exciting.

The tea stall owner placed fresh biscuits on a nearby table while the radio crackled softly in the background. For a few seconds, all he did was watch her speak. Not because he disagreed. Because he liked the way she believed in things.

RAM- You love deeply.!

Ram confessed finally, and Siya looked away immediately after hearing that. And he smiled the second he noticed.

RAM- aap sharma rahi hai.?

SIYA- bilkul nahi...

Siya immediately stopped him to imagine her getting shy.

RAM- but you looked away.

Siya thought a second before she answer.

SIYA- The wind was aggressive.

He laughed quietly into his tea while shaking her head.

RAM- and yet you are still sitting here discussing love philosophies with me in the middle of nowhere.

Siya looked at him for once, hiding her poor smile.

SIYA- That says more about my poor decision-making.

Ram smile at her answer and he cleared his throat before saying anything.

RAM- No, I think it says something else.

Her heartbeat betrayed her immediately at the tone of his voice. Dangerously calm. Dangerously sincere. So naturally she changed the subject.

SIYA- You know what your problem is.?

He sighed dramatically and looks at her with his confused eyes.

SIYA- You romanticize destiny too much.

RAM- That is not a problem. It is when you expect life to feel cinematic all the time.

He considered that for a second before smiling faintly.

RAM- and you speak about love like you are carefully watering a plant.

Siya dropped her jaw to hear that statement and Ram giggles at her.

SIYA- That is because real love needs care.

Ram dramatically nodded his head at her words while she rolled her eyes, but the smile on her lips stayed anyway. Then his expression softened again.

RAM- But shayad aap sahi hai...

Siya immediately looked at him in surprise and Ram showed her his hand before he clear himself.

RAM- Partially, I still think love can begin instantly.

Siya waited for him to continue, and continued looking at him with that grin of her face.

RAM- And maybe, it survives because people choose to grow it afterward.

The words hung gently between them. Neither rushed to fill the silence afterward.

RAM- maa is behind me to get married.

The cold breeze moved around them softly while somewhere in the distance thunder rumbled faintly across the sky.

SIYA- to kar lijiye na. Search a nice gharelu girl for you, jaisa aunty chahti hai.

Ram smile at her and Siya shook her head lightly. And for the first time that evening, both of them looked strangely nervous. Not because they were talking about love. But because somewhere between theories, teasing, and warm cups of tea, they had accidentally begun revealing the shape of their own hearts to each other.

SIYA- pata hai.? For someone who believes in love at first sight, you speak about it very carefully.

He smiled too, quieter now.

RAM- And for someone who believes love takes time, you understood me very quickly.

That left both of them speechless for a moment. The kind of silence that blushes. The kind that lingers.

And perhaps that was what love truly was. Sometimes love arrives suddenly - like recognition, like destiny, like your soul pausing when someone walks into your life.

And sometimes it stays slowly - through conversations, quiet understanding, gentle care, and the comfort of simply sitting beside someone beneath an open sky.

Two different definitions. Two different hearts. Yet somehow, on a quiet evening scented with tea and rain, both of them were beginning to realize they had been searching for the same thing all along.

Because maybe love was never about how it begins. Maybe it was always about who makes your heart feel understood.

And maybe... It is correctly said,
Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha.!
Some hearts are anyhow meant to meet.
